Boorn Brook Farm has a storied history, with its origins dating back to the 1790s Farmhouse and the iconic 1820s Barn. Over time, it has evolved into a secluded country estate. Nestled adjacent to the Green Mountain National Forest, the estate was acquired in 1999 from the Shelburne Museum as part of the estate of Marion Gould Pleissner. She had been the proud owner for over five decades and was the spouse of the renowned outdoor hunting sports artist, Ogden Pleissner. Notably, Pleissner's studio once occupied the Barn, and its legacy has been preserved at the Shelburne Museum in Burlington, VT. Today, the estate stands as a multi-generational private sanctuary and an exclusive estate, bounded by Bourn Brook to the north, and surrounded by the lush expanse of the Green Mountain National Forests and the tranquil Lye Brook Wilderness to the east, south, and west.
